This week the Nedlands and Cockburn ILCs (Independent Living Centre WA) received a few early Christmas presents.
After hearing that they were in short supply at the centres due to their popularity with staff taking them out on visits, Uccello’s lovely team member, Nikki visited the centres with a gift of Kettles.
Nikki is pictured here with Occupational Therapist Annelle Young.
Independent Living Centre WA
The ILC Cockburn Centre is home to WA’s very first “Smart Home Display Centre” where independent living aids are displayed in ‘real-life’ application. The Uccello Kettle is so popular that there are often none on display as they are used when the ILC team are out on visits.
Uccello is proud of our strong association with the national chain of Independent Living Centres (ILC) who provide information, advice, assessment, training, funding and hire services to assist people in country areas.
ILC centres in every state of Australia use mobile van units to travel regionally, enabling Australians of all ages and abilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives. The ILC’s assistance with finding resources and products that can enhance quality of life, is invaluable to local and remote communities in Western Australia.
You can find out more about and Independent Living Centre WA services on their website and help support their great work on their Facebook page.
