Congratulations to all involved in organising The Australian Assistive Technology Conference (AATC) in Melbourne this week. It was attended by one of our team leaders Gary, who enjoyed meeting and greeting with groups who focus on the advancement of rehabilitation and assistive technology in Australia.
For 2018, the theme for the AATC is ‘Experiences, Opportunities and Innovations’. This theme allows focus on the expertise of assistive technology users, developers and suppliers, as well as the burgeoning opportunities and innovations occurring in the field of assistive technology in Australia and internationally.
The program includes three days of international and national keynote presentations focused on assistive technology use across the lifespan (and within both community and rehabilitation settings)
Of particular interest to us at Uccello was the breakfast forum on Day 2 of the AATC program, where ARATA developed a collaboration with the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations and OT Australia. Here delegates and other key stakeholders began to make an evidenced set of outcome tools available for AT users in order to document the impacts of AT.
