Steady Support Starts Here
The Uccello Kettle restores steadiness, safety and independence for those living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Living With MND Challenges Every Movement
Over 10,000 people in the US are living with MND at any one time. The progressive weakening of muscles can affect grip, arm strength, balance and even speech, turning simple kitchen rituals – like lifting a full kettle or steadying a hot cup – into tiring and potentially risky tasks. These daily hurdles can chip away at confidence and the sense of independence.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed or adapting to changing abilities, thoughtfully designed tools – such as our easy tilt-to-pour kettle – will help keep you enjoying your favourite cuppa safely and on your own terms.
Designed For Weak Grip, Fatigue & Everyday Control
Uccello Kettle: The tilt-to-pour actions means there’s no need to lift a heavy kettle – perfect for weak grip, muscle fatigue or coordination issues. It helps bring back confidence when handling boiling water.
“I was losing my strength in my hands and arms – something as simple as pouring a cup of coffee became a real challenge.”
“This Kettle changed that. I don’t need to ask for help anymore. It’s a bit of normality I really missed.” – Ger, Montana

Frequently Asked Questions:
Motor Neurone Support
Can I use the Uccello Kettle if I have weak arms or poor grip?
Yes. The Uccello Kettle is designed to pour with a gentle tilt – no need to lift, grip or balance a heavy kettle. It stays safely in place (thanks to its non-slip base) and helps you pour boiling water without strain or risk.
How does this help if I tire easily or my strength changes day to day?
MND can make everyday movements exhausting. Our kettle tilts with minimal effort and does a lot of the heavy lifting.
The perfect tool designed to save energy and support independence – especially as symptoms change.
What's the safest way to fill the kettle if I have limited hand strength?
You have two options:
1. Remove the kettle body and fill it at the sink like a regular kettle (it’s lightweight when empty).
2. Leave it in the base and fill it with a cup or small jug — this way you never lift the kettle full of water.
What if I have shaky hands or unsteady arms - how do I pour without spilling?
Place your cup about an inch away from the kettle base (handle facing the kettle). This gives a close, controlled target.
Is there a warranty or return policy?
Yes, we offer a 2 year warranty on the Uccello Kettle. We also have an award winning Customer Care team who is always happy to help via email on customercare@uccellodesigns.com.
